For many voters, treating a dog this way is unimaginable and could only be done by somebody who has a problem empathizing with others. For these voters it is not hard to make the leap that the kind of man who could hose off the sick, family dog and keep driving is also the kind of man who could build a career around making companies more efficient by suggesting massive layoffs. This is, of course, the major negative that was used against Romney in the Republican primaries and will be used against him again by the Democrats and President Obama in the general election…
This incident makes it very difficult for Romney to present the personal side of his biography to voters in a positive light. This is an unfortunate development for Romney because, by most accounts, the Republican candidate is a good and dedicated father and grandfather, but this incident will make it harder for Romney to show that side of himself to voters. Every family picture from when Romney’s children were young will be a reminder not of Romney’s attractive family, but of how he mistreated their dog.What is go on in white House?

CHICAGO — Phoenix Coyotes forward Raffi Torres was suspended indefinitely Wednesday for a hit that knocked Chicago's Marian Hossa out of Game 3 in the teams' opening-round playoff series.
Torres faces a Friday hearing with NHL officials in New York. The hearing was planned for Wednesday but was deferred at the request of the player and NHL Players' Association.
Hossa was carried off the ice on a stretcher in the first period Tuesday night after Torres hit him with his shoulder and drove him to the ice. He was briefly hospitalized. The team has not said if Hossa, who led the Blackhawks with 77 points this season, will return this season.
Phoenix leads the series 2-1 with Game 4 in Chicago on Thursday night.

Legendary television producer and host Dick Clark has died at 82 of a massive heart attack. Clark had an incredibly long career on screen, so how you best remember him kind of depends on how many rings you have inside your own tree. For an older generation he was the host of “American Bandstand,” one of the pioneering shows in the field of meshing pop music with television. For others, he was the host of “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve,” which a younger, more footie-pajama’d version of me always loved because it aired on one of the very few nights a year I was allowed to stay up until midnight with my parents watching television. And I’m sure for some of those young, footie-pajama’d kids today, Dick Clark was just the old guy who stood next to Ryan Seacrest one night a year trying very hard to enunciate the words on the teleprompter despite suffering from the effects of a stroke. Time will do that.
I’m always a little uncomfortable being all earnest and sincere on a website most noted for GIFs of pretty ladies and pictures of dogs, but I really don’t get into the whole “somebody died, let’s make a sh-tty joke” thing that a lot of the Internet seems to get off on. If that’s what you want to do, fine. But keep in mind that Dick Clark lived a long life during which he did work that he seemed to enjoy the hell out of, and that he was great at. I really don’t see how any of us can ask for much more.

Ted Nugent said he will meet with the Secret Service on Thursday to discuss his controversial comments about President Barack Obama.
"I will be polite and supportive as I possibly can be, which will be thoroughly," Nugent told Glenn Beck on Wednesday.
During a National Rifle Association convention last weekend, Nugent said, "If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year."
The U.S. Secret Service said on Tuesday that it was aware of Nugent's comments and would investigate.
"The bottom line is I've never threatened anybody's life in my life," Nugent said on Beck's radio show. "I don't threaten, I don't waste breath threatening. I just conduct myself as a dedicated 'We the people' activist because I've saluted too many flag draped coffins to not appreciate where the freedom comes from."
The gun-loving "Cat Scratch Fever" singer has not apologized for the incendiary talk, but added: "I'm not trying to diminish the seriousness of this, because if the Secret Service are doing it they are serious."
